"Good night Sleep tight"
That's what they say.
Then they turn off the light
And sleep 'till the next day.
I lay awake in my bed
Remembering what he said.
His face, his words
Are always on my mind,
Haunting me all the time!
Silence...
I hear nothing
I see nothing
But something I do feel:
My broken heart slowly beating,
Waiting to heal.
I just want to sleep,
Sleep and forget
These thoughts too deep,
Too hard to accept.
The silence is broken...
I hear someone crying.
No words of comfort spoken,
But, still, the tears start drying.
I put my hand on my face,
Those tears away I sweep.
What a pathetic disgrace...
I smile and fall asleep.
That's what they say.
Then they turn off the light
And sleep 'till the next day.
I lay awake in my bed
Remembering what he said.
His face, his words
Are always on my mind,
Haunting me all the time!
Silence...
I hear nothing
I see nothing
But something I do feel:
My broken heart slowly beating,
Waiting to heal.
I just want to sleep,
Sleep and forget
These thoughts too deep,
Too hard to accept.
The silence is broken...
I hear someone crying.
No words of comfort spoken,
But, still, the tears start drying.
I put my hand on my face,
Those tears away I sweep.
What a pathetic disgrace...
I smile and fall asleep.

Sleep & Forget, is where we all find ourselves at one time or another. The writer has expressed herself gracefully. This poem is true to real life as it has no fairytale ending, no climatic finish. Good Job on making yourself understood and heard Cuz. xoxox
«We can have in life but one great experience at best, and the secret of life is to reproduce that experience as often as possible».

It's good that you realized it isn't worth suffering, nobody deserves that you shed a tear, or that you suffer, or that you get heartbroken. You are the best friend in the world, woe to the whoever makes you suffer, you know that I'll always fight just to see one of your smiles, because you are always in my heart.
i love you
